Jenny Williams

Hours: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Jenny is married and the step-mom of a nine year old daughter and fourteen year old son. Jenny has been working at Montessori Children’s House since 1993. Prior to Montessori Jenny worked for two years at Prince and Princesses Preschool. Jenny received her AMI Montessori Diploma in 2003 from the St. Louis Montessori Institute. She also has an AA degree in Early Childhood studies from Shasta College. Jenny also knows sign language and frequently has opportunities to incorporate it into her class. One of her hobbies is riding quads. She also enjoys spending time with family and attends a lot of family gatherings.

Why Montessori? “When I first started here I found it to be very helpful to me. I wish I had the opportunity all the children are getting; I don’t think it would have been such a struggle for me. Now this is where my heart and soul are. I have been able to grow and blossom over the years as I hope the children do.”

Christina Sanderson

Hours 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Christina is married with two daughters. Christina has an AA in Early Childhood Education from Shasta College. Christina started at Montessori in 1997 after working for Elf Daycare for two years.  Christina has worked as an assistant teacher for five years in the toddler class with Celia and three years in the primary class with Jenny. Christina’s hobbies include bowling, scrap booking, and photography.

Why Montessori? “It helped me personally grow into a better mother, teacher, and all-around person. The gracefulness and order create a peaceful place to work. Watching the children throughout the years grow into capable human beings because of the choices that we allow them to make is extraordinary! I like the idea that children are not pushed into something that they are not mentally ready for. Following the child is what it is all about.”
